Featuring Special Kids; Ropin’ Rascals is an event where special needs kids get to be a cowboy for the day. This all takes place on a working cattle ranch in Colorado. Ropin’ Rascals volunteers help guide each student through a unique venue of stations. They get to experience therapeutic horseback riding, roping lessons, John Deere Gator™ rides, stick-horse barrel racing, and stagecoach tours around the ranch. Redefining Disaster Relief; RETREET redefines disaster relief by engaging communities to replant lost trees. The program has planted trees for thousands of families recovering from natural disasters in 16 different communities across North America. There is no other organization focused on this underrepresented part of the recovery process. In November 2018, The Summit will begin direct support of the Hurricane Harvey Gulf Coast Project, which is a 3-year program to replace at least 600 mature trees destroyed by Hurricane Harvey at home sites along the Texas coast. The first planting is on November 3, 2018 in the Port Aransas area. Subsequent efforts will focus on Rockport then travel to communities in and around Houston.
